The day is finally here!  Just weeks before the start of the 2018 NFL season, you can now bet the Jets, Giants and all other teams from the Meadowlands Racetrack. Sports betting is also available via the FanDuel app and via a host of international sites that do not impose taxes, making them highly competitive in this market.

The FanDuel-branded sportsbook opened Saturday and gamblers will be able to place bets there most days of the week...except Sunday (the day either team typically plays at home).  FanDuel now lists Sundays at 8 am as being open as of September 6.

"Under our current lease we are not allowed to be open on football Sundays, so we are in discussions (with Giants/Jets) to explore opportunities," wrote Andrea Lokshin, in an email to NJ Advance Media, at the time the sportsbook opened.

Replete with 10 tellers and 27 televisions at the Meadowlands Racetrack, the sportsbook venue will be adjacent to MetLife Stadium, where both the New York Giants and Jets play.

Construction had been underway with the new set-up expected to be open by NFL Sunday.  Gambling911.com recently visited the Fanduel Sportsbook and you can check out our videos here.

Not only can you bet the Jets and Giants, more bets have been placed on the New York Giants to win the Super Bowl than any other team here.

New Jersey's newly legalized sportsbooks generated $3.5 million in gross revenue on $16.4 million in wagers completed in June, according to official reporting, released Thursday.  This came from only two sportsbooks operating during half the month: The Borgata and Monmouth Park Race Track. The Ocean Resort Casino, which opened its sportsbook June 28, was also included among those numbers.

Betting on any of New Jersey's college teams, including Rutgers and Seton Hall, will not be permitted.
