Gambling911.com visited the Fanduel branded sportsbook at the Meadowlands Racetrack Friday evening with a few College Football games kicking off.

Stories of hour long lines did not come to fruition this evening as folks were able to place bets at the windows and via kiosks in under ten minutes.  We suspect the long lines were likely Saturday morning, and especially the first Sunday of the new NFL season.

FanDuel has a betting area on the ground floor and a much larger area upstairs complete with a bar overlooking the racetrack.

The brand new main sportsbook is set to open the first NFL Sunday, though by the looks of things, it's going to take a miracle.

Gambling911.com also had an opportunity to speak with a bartender in nearby Secaucus who showed us the new Draftkings app that he was using to place LIVE BETS on Major League Baseball games (the Tigers vs. Yankees).

He previously used a bookmaker but the app makes it easy now as he "no longer has to chase him down".

When asked if he would consider using an offshore book, the bartender said "Not with this app.  I'ts legal and easy to get paid."

Of course he cringed when the question about tax reporting on winnings came up.

This individual also advised us that the Fanduel sportsbook did not even check his ID when he placed a wager at that establishment recently.  Therefore it is unclear as to how they would tax his winning bets.
