Bettor vs. Bookie - March 2: UNC Tar Heels

Even when a team is winning outright, this doesn't necessarily mean they are covering the spread.  Gambling911.com looks at recent game performance for specific teams to see who is winning out - the bookie or the bettor.  Here we look at the UNC Tar Heels as of March 2.

The Tar Heels will be hosting Clemson Saturday and, if a fairly aggressive opinion by the books turns out correct, may not be able to cover the -4.5 spread here despite Sagarin suggesting this one should be set at -6.

North Carolina ranks a 7 over their last ten games on the ATS Index (Against The Spread) and they are a very impressive 17-9 ATS on the season.  Their 7 ranking suggests the Tar Heels have actually cooled off over the past month.

Assuming $1000 bet on the Tar Heels every game without considering other bets from the start of this season, gamblers would be profiting around $8000 with UNC and closer to $4000 over the last ten games.
