Bettor vs. Bookie - March 2: Clemson Tigers

Even when a team is winning outright, this doesn't necessarily mean they are covering the spread.  Gambling911.com looks at recent game performance for specific teams to see who is winning out - the bookie or the bettor.  Here we look at the Clemson Tigers as of March 2.

The Tigers will be hosting UNC Saturday and, if a fairly aggressive opinion by the books turns out correct, should be able to cover the +4.5 spread.

Clemson does rank a 7 in terms of covering the spread over the last ten games but are just 12-16 Against The Spread overall.  This indicates a market improvement on the season where they are 17-11 Straight Up.  That is enough to give bookies operating in this part of South Carolina heartburn considering how good a College Football team they have.

If you as a bettor were wagering on the Clemson spread exclusively at $1000 starting ten games prior to today, and not counting any other bets, you should be up $4000.  Not so if you did the same from the very first game of the season.
