Best Bets for This Weekend - April 9-10, 2021

April is the time of year where three major professional sports leagues are playing at the same time. Not only is this great for sports fans, but it’s a huge boost for sports bettors as well.

Focusing on just one sport is a solid option, but you have more opportunities available to you. Instead of picking just one sport, we have found a game to bet on in each market.

Springtime is a great time to be a sports bettor, and the industry has never been bigger. Here are three best bets for the weekend, with one game from each sport highlighted.

NHL: Vegas Golden Knights vs. Arizona Coyotes

On Friday night, the Vegas Golden Knights host the Arizona Coyotes in an important NHL game. Both teams are in a playoff spot in the West, and the playoff races are heating up in the league.

Even though Arizona is having a terrific season, they will be big underdogs on Friday. The Coyotes have recently won three straight games, but not against particularly challenging competition.

Vegas is a betting favorite to win the Stanley Cup, and this team is loaded with talent. The Golden Knights can score goals in a hurry, and they also have dominant goaltending.

Arizona will keep this game close on the road, but the Golden Knights are the right pick.

MLB: Miami Marlins at New York Mets

Betting on Major League Baseball can be challenging, but there are still great opportunities. It’s best to look at the pitching matchups when searching for the best plays.

The New York Mets host the Miami Marlins this weekend, and the game to focus on is on Saturday. Jacob deGrom will take the mound for the Mets, and he is always an excellent choice on which to bet.

New York has had an interesting start to the 2021 season, but this team is solid. The Mets have a terrific lineup, but it might just take one run with deGrom on the mound.

Miami is not expected to be as competitive this season, and that lineup has some significant holes. Don’t expect the Marlins to do much damage against arguably the best pitcher in baseball.

The Marlins have not yet named a starter for Saturday, but it won’t matter who they choose. Take the Mets over Miami in an NL East matchup.

NBA: Golden State Warriors vs. Houston Rockets

The NBA is heading into the final stretch, and teams are making a playoff push. One of those teams is the Golden State Warriors, and they are home this weekend.

Houston will be in town to face the Warriors on Saturday night, and Golden State will be a big betting favorite. The Rockets have struggled this season, especially since February.

Golden State is also going through a rough stretch, but the team still has Stephen Curry. The Warriors can still make the playoffs with a big run, and betting against Curry is never smart.

The Rockets don’t defend well, and Golden State can light it up. Look for the Warriors to blow out Houston in this NBA game.
