Best Bets for This Saturday – Apr. 3, 2021

This upcoming weekend is one of the biggest of the year in sports betting. The Men’s Final Four will take place on Saturday, and the 2021 MLB season has begun as well.

Some bettors only stick to betting on one sport, but that severely limits betting options. The best way is to look at multiple sports, and two popular ones are taking place on Saturday.

This is a perfect time to take a look at each sport and find the best opportunities. Here are four of the best bets for this weekend, with two from each sport.

Houston Cougars vs. Baylor Bears: Under 134.5 Points

The Houston Cougars take on the Baylor Bears in the first of two national semifinal games on Saturday night. Both teams were top five teams much of the season, and this game should be terrific.

Baylor is a five-point favorite over Houston in this game, but that bet is too tough to predict. The Bears should win this game, but Houston has the ability to cover the spread.

Looking at the over/under is the way to go when these two teams take the floor. Both teams really defend, and no team is reaching 70 points on Saturday night.

Bet the under 134.5 points as that number will be closer to 125 by the end of the game.

Take a look at our best bets for March 28th, 2021.

Gonzaga Bulldogs (-14.5) vs. UCLA Bruins

A 14.5-point spread in the Final Four is unheard of, but that’s how good Gonzaga is. It helps that UCLA is not supposed to be here, but the Bruins have been on quite a run.

This game doesn’t really need much explanation as Gonzaga does all the talking on the floor. The Bulldogs have coasted through their first four NCAA Tournament wins, and that will happen again Saturday night.

Even though the spread is large, betting on Gonzaga -14.5 is the way to go. Take a look at the latest NCAA Tournament most outstanding player betting odds.

Pittsburgh Pirates at Chicago Cubs

The Pittsburgh Pirates beat the Chicago Cubs on Thursday afternoon at Wrigley Field. These two teams will meet up again on Saturday, and the Cubs will once again be the favorites.

Chicago really struggled at the plate in the season opener, but that won’t be the norm all season long. The Cubs are going to score some runs in this game, and they will get even.

The Pirates just aren’t a very good baseball team, despite winning on Opening Day. Betting on the Pirates is not going to be a good decision for much of the 2021 season.

Take the Cubs over the Pirates on Saturday at Wrigley Field.

New York Mets at Washington Nationals

The season opener between the Mets and Nationals was postponed, pushing the game to Saturday. This means that both teams will also have their aces on the mound for this one.

It will be Jacob deGrom of the Mets taking on Max Scherzer of the Nationals. Runs will be hard to come by, and this should be a terrific matchup.

Washington is dealing with some COVID-19 issues, and it’s unclear what players will be missing. As if deGrom needed any edge, this could make things even harder for the Nationals.

Betting on the New York Mets over the Washington Nationals is the right play.
