PITCHING MATCHUP: Diamondbacks RH Zack Godley (2018: 15-11, 4.74 ERA) vs. Dodgers RH Kenta Maeda (2018: 8-10, 3.81)

Godley is seeking more consistency after registering 185 strikeouts but issuing 81 walks over a career-high 178 1/3 innings last season. The 28-year-old native of South Carolina posted a 5.40 ERA in four spring-training starts but looked sharp over six frames in his final outing. Chris Taylor is 5-for-16 with two homers against Godley, who is 2-3 with a 3.81 ERA in 12 career games (eight starts) against the Dodgers - including 1-2 with a 4.37 mark in four outings last season.

Maeda shuttled between the rotation and bullpen last year but hopes to stick as a starter this season following an impressive spring training. The 30-year-old from Japan posted a 4.15 ERA with 17 strikeouts in 13 innings over five starts this spring. Lamb is 9-for-27 with two home runs against Maeda, who made 20 of his 39 appearances last season as a starter and owns a 4-5 record and 4.83 ERA in 15 career games (12 starts) versus Arizona.

The Dodgers are 0-5 in Maedas last 5 starts vs. Diamondbacks.
