If young Swedish poker phenom Viktor Blom can play for nearly a year without anyone confirming his real identity, so too can the so-called “Portuguese Poker Prodigy” Jose Macedo.  He’s probably in a room right now, looking for his next victim.

Mr. Macedo is accused of (and subsequently admitted to) opening up various accounts on popular Gambling911.com sponsor site Lock Poker, then manipulating the said accounts through “chip dumping”.  Macedo has since repaid the $30,000 obtained through the cheating scandal.

Where he shows up next is anyone’s guess though it probably won’t be Lock, as they have enough information on him to monitory any suspicious activity.

It is also entirely possible that Internet poker rooms will begin scrutinizing new accounts originating from Portugal, though nothing has been said to this effect just yet.

Viktor Blom is one example of a player able to conceal his identity online.  There is also that AngryShark68, otherwise known as Joran van der Sloot.  He has long been the primary suspect in the disappearance of Natalee Holloway in Aruba and is awaiting trial for the murder of a Peruvian college student, Stephany Flores.
