Hey poker fans, adrenaline junkies, and lovers of all things epic! Are you ready for the poker vacation of a lifetime? The Costa Rica Poker Festival is hitting the gorgeous city of San José from January 27th to February 3rd, 2025, and trust us, this is one event you don’t want to miss.
Picture this: high-stakes poker action at the luxurious Sheraton Hotel and Casino, surrounded by breathtaking mountains, lush rainforests, and the tropical charm of Costa Rica. Throw in some unforgettable adventures, and you've got a recipe for pure Pura Vida bliss.
Poker Paradise Awaits
The heart of the festival is the Grand Event at the Sheraton’s Kickers Poker Club, with a massive $100,000 guaranteed prize pool. Whether you’re a seasoned shark or a recreational player, this is your chance to play with the best while soaking up some serious vibes.
And the poker action doesn’t stop there—expect a lineup of exciting tournaments, plenty of side games, and, of course, a few chances to bluff your way to glory.
Off-Felt Fun: Choose Your Adventure
When you're ready to take a break from the tables, Costa Rica’s natural wonders are waiting. Every festival package includes a day of adventure, and your toughest decision might just be choosing which one to do:
White Water Rafting: Conquer the famous Pacuare River, known for its jaw-dropping scenery and thrilling rapids.
Tortuga Island Tour: Escape to a postcard-perfect island with crystal-clear waters and sandy beaches.
Zipline Adventure: Fly through the rainforest canopy, with options to add horseback riding, ATV trails, or a chocolate-making experience (yes, chocolate!).
Poás Volcano & Coffee Tour: Get up close to an active volcano and learn why Costa Rican coffee is basically liquid gold.
Surf Lessons: Hang ten with a pro instructor on the stunning Pacific Coast.
It’s the perfect way to recharge your batteries (and maybe work off a bad beat).
Stay in Style
Your festival package comes with seven nights at the Sheraton Hotel, where luxury meets convenience. Wake up to a delicious breakfast for two, then hit the tables or explore everything Costa Rica has to offer.
PSA: Sheraton rooms are still up for grabs! Don’t wait—email ivonne@themaltapokerfestival.com to lock in your stay before they’re gone.
Make It More Than a Poker Trip
Why stop at one week? Extend your stay and dive deeper into Costa Rica’s magic. Think beaches, waterfalls, wildlife, and sunsets that look like they were painted by the poker gods themselves. The festival’s travel concierge is ready to help you plan your perfect post-poker getaway.
Community, Camaraderie, and Costa Rica
The Costa Rica Poker Festival isn’t just about winning pots (although that’s pretty sweet too). It’s about meeting players from around the world, making new friends, and sharing unforgettable moments in one of the most beautiful places on Earth.
