San Jose, Costa Rica –If poker players thought August's Beast Anniversary celebration featuring an extra $51,000 in cash was enough to get excited about, they're in for a major surprise this Sunday. Americas Cardroom is hosting a 10-package Punta Cana Poker Classic guarantee on Sunday, August 11th at 6:00pm ET and a $100,000 Guaranteed tournament at 7:00pm ET.
"It's The Beast's anniversary, and we know players are hungry for huge poker action," stated Michael Harris, spokesperson for Americas Cardroom. "This Sunday, we're putting a lot on the table for July's Beast players and everyone who's new to the table."
The $100,000 Guaranteed tournament kicks off at 7:00pm ET on Sunday, August 11th. The buy-in for the tournament is $200+15, and low buy-in qualifiers are available leading up to the event. Just before the $100k, a 10-Package Punta Cana Poker Classic event kicks off at 6:00pm, which features a $50+5 buy-in.
The 10-Package Punta Cana Poker Classic guarantee is part of the Beast leaderboard competition, a monthly progressive points race that rewards hundreds of players a month with cash prizes and tournament entries—just for playing at specially marked cash tables.
Players who ranked on the leaderboard in the month of July have earned a spot in the tournament, however the event is open to players—including those who have never played The Beast. Each $4,100 package includes one Main Event buy-in, 6-night hotel accommodations for one, all-you-can-handle food and drinks (alcohol included), a $1,500 resort credit, 24-hour premium room service, a welcome gift bag, airport-hotel-airport transportation in Punta Cana, $800 for travel, access to a 24/7 VIP support line, and more.
Poker players who have yet to participate in The Beast have way more incentive to play at The Beast tables this month. For the month of August, Americas Cardroom is adding 35 additional leaderboard competitions, on top of the already popular monthly competition. The 35 competitions come in the form of 31 separate $1,000 daily leaderboard competitions and four weekly $5,000 competitions. The daily and weekly leaderboards are not cumulative, so everyone has a shot at winning.
Each daily leaderboard resets at midnight to give all players a fresh start. The weekly leaderboards run from August 1-9, August 10-16, August 17-23, and August 24-31. Each leaderboard resets at midnight each start date.
