A 70-year-old jockey may have been allowed to win a race at Fairmount Park in Illinois even though ultimately he did not.

Race officials expressed concern as to whether other jockeys were allowing Ra Cowboy Jones, who had not won a race in decades, to stay in the lead with My Kentucky Breeze.

Fairmount has not commented officially on the investigation.

If found culpable, jockeys would likely pay a small penalty.
