14 Arrested in Phoenix for Running Illegal Gambling Business

PHOENIX — (Associated Press) - Authorities say 14 people have been arrested after two search warrants were served at illegal gambling businesses in Phoenix.

Investigators from Phoenix police and the Arizona Department of Gaming served the warrants on the businesses named "Wi-Fi Cafe" that are believed to be owned by the same person. Authorities say three people were arrested in connection to the business and will be facing multiple charges including operating an illegal gaming facility and promotion of illegal gambling. Additionally, 11 people who were customers inside the business also were arrested for various outstanding warrants and drug offenses. Police say one of the 11 is a woman wanted in connection to a recent armed robbery. The names of the 14 arrested haven't been released yet.
