SDSU vs. Army: What the Betting Line Should Be - Lockheed Martin Armed Forces Bowl

The SDSU vs. Army Lockheed Martin Armed Forces Bowl line opened at -7 across the board, however, a handful of shops opened the line at either -6.5 or -7 favoring San Diego State.  Resident bookmaking expert Tony Caliente breaks this one down from a bookie’s perspective.

While the line has been moving in different directions at various books, the number has not dipped below -6.

A few of the recreational books (Sportsbook.ag) was holding at -7 overnight with around 65% of the betting coming in on San Diego State.

Even an analysis of the Vegas books has us a bit perplexed.  Moving the line upwards to -7 with so much action suggests that there is a concern over SDSU covering while books moving to -6 may suggest the opposite.

If we are to rely on the College Football Betting Power Ratings, San Diego State should only be a -3 to -3.5 favorite here.
