Bookie Biz: Lockheed Martin Moves 300 Ballistic Missile Jobs to Brevard

Brevard County Florida bookies can look forward to some 300 new well-paying jobs coming to the region thanks to Lockheed Martin’s announcement that they are relocating fleet ballistic missile personnel from the California Space Coast.

Matt Kramer, director of external communications for Lockheed Martin Space Systems Co., said the Lockheed staff moving to the Space Coast will work on "mission sustainment" functions — such as testing and maintenance — for the Navy's Trident II D-5 Fleet Ballistic Missile.

The jobs pay between $42,000 and $74,000 depending on seniority with plenty of opportunities for local area bookmakers, real estate agents and supplemental businesses to capitalize.

Those working in this field do have a tendency to place bets on sports and enjoy casino play.  Savvy bookies will catch the navy men blowing off steam at the nearby Melbourne Greyhound Park casino.

Patience is a virtue though as these Lockheed Martin employees won’t be moving until the 2018-2019.

Brevard County is College Football territory with FSU and the Florida Gators the most wagered on teams.

Local bookies save money, time, overhead, time, security, and did we mention time through the utilization of an established Pay Per Head outsourcing firm that handles nearly every aspect of your business so you can spend more time expanding your customer base.  Likewise, you will avoid having to operate a high risk wire room/call center office that is bound to attract lowlifes, not to mention catch the attention of nosey neighbors.

Florida law does make bookmaking a misdemeanor.  This includes the operation of a wire room that accepts wagers.  Pay Per Head companies do eliminate these components.
