Boston Celtics: Bookie Beat Down or Bettor Beware?

Here we look at how the Boston Celtics have been performing for sports bettors and whether the bookies have reason to fear.  As of this writing February 14, Boston has won nine of their last ten games overall.

Current Status: Bookie Beat Down

The Celtics certainly appear to be keeping Boston area bookies out of the profit margin – unless of course they happen to be utilizing a solid Pay Per Head business.  Boston currently held on to a 29-24-2 record Against The Spread.

While the Celtics have covered in three straight games as they prepare to face Philadelphia at home, they also went through quite a dry spell, failing to cover in five straight.

Against The Spread they may be getting hot again, and certainly overall the Celtics have been on fire, winning ten of their last eleven games and they are on a three-game win streak Straight Up.

Though the Celtics have failed to cover the spread against three of the next five teams they face in their last meetings, each of those were wins.
