No. 13 seed Yale will enter Sunday night's game against San Diego State as a +5.5 dog after shocking No. 4 seed Auburn in Round 1.

It is the second straight year that Ivy League champions took down a Power 5 champion in the round of 64.   Princeton did it last season.

Junior guard John Poulakidas  scored 28 points on 10-of-15 shooting, including 6-of-9 from deep.  He comes in with a prop bet score total of 13.5 against SDSU Sunday night.

"I don't know if that's the best win in Yale basketball history," Yale coach James Jones said, "but I will tell you that's the best basketball team that we've beaten in Yale basketball history.

"As far as I'm concerned, Auburn is one of the better teams in the country. I couldn't believe that they were a 4-seed in terms of what they've been able to do with their metrics."

San Diego State advances to the second round following a close call against UAB Friday night.  The Aztecs, who made it all the way to the Championship game last season, falling to UConn, ultimately beating UAB 69-65.

Jaedon LeDee dominated inside on the way to 32 points, Lamont Butler added 15 and the Aztecs.

“He’s hard to guard,” San Diego State coach Brian Dutcher said of his 6-foot-9, 240-pound forward. “He puts a lot of fouls on people. We find him and to his credit, he plays unselfishly. He moves the ball easily, but when his time comes, he was ready for it.”

LeDee's scoring prop total for Sunday night's game against Yale has been set at 22.5.

“I just was playing hard. My teammates was finding me in the right spots at the right times,” LeDee said. “Shout out to UAB. They’re a really good team. I just was hitting shots today.”
