What's Going on With the 2023 NHL Draft?

The Blackhawks won the Connor Bedard sweepstakes after landing the first pick in the NHL Draft Lottery last night.

Now, many are speculating who the Ducks and Blue Jackets (should they retain those spots) will select in the No. 2 and No. 3 positions of June's draft.

"We made Adam Fantilli a massive favorite to be taken second, while Leo Carlsson is the odds-on favorite to be picked third," BetOnline Sportsbook Manager Adam Burns offered.

"Additionally, the latest Conn Smythe numbers have Matthew Tkachuk as the favorite...not Leon Draisaitl.

"Draisaitl has been on a torrid pace during the playoffs, gunning for a postseason record of 19 points that is shared by Reggie Leach of the 1975-76 Flyers and Jari Kurri of the 1984-85 Oilers."

But with the current Oilers now down 2-1 in the series, Draisaitl has become the underdog to the veteran Tkachuk.
