Where Can I Bet the NFL Draft From Nevada?

Hooker pays out $1200 on a $100 bet should the Raiders pick him.

The Raiders now have Jimmy Garoppolo as their quarterback.  Passing on Hooker might seem to make some degree of sense.

Though the Raiders have Garoppolo, they shouldn't view him as the quarterback of the future. The 31-year-old is coming off a season-ending foot ailment and has an extensive injury history.  There's a very real chance that Las Vegas looks to draft Garoppolo's successor this year. There has been some buzz that Las Vegas will even trade up to do so.

While snagging a prospect like Ohio State's C.J. Stroud or Florida's Anthony Richardson would make sense for Las Vegas, the Raiders should be out on Tennessee's Hendon Hooker, who may not be ready to start for several seasons.

Hooker is coming off a torn ACL, will turn 26 next January and isn't likely to have a quick transition to the NFL.

The Raiders are among the favorites to land Anthony Richardson along with the Titans (+175) and Seahawks (+225).  Vegas pays out $350 for every $100 bet.

According to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, Richardson met with the Raiders’ brass and that meeting went especially well.

“I was told he was in their building in Vegas [Friday]. They went and probably had a sensible meal, had a nice dinner with Raiders’ brass,” Fowler said on SportsCenter. “They also put him on the big board to work out plays and test his mental approach to the game. I’m told the meeting by all accounts went very well.

“And so, this is a quarterback who doesn’t know where he’s going to go yet; probably will know closer to the draft. But his stock is surging because a lot of teams I’ve talked to believe he’s in that top tier,” Fowler said. “You see Bryce Young and C.J. Stroud, but he’s right there based on that enormous upside.

“The Raiders are looking hard at all the quarterbacks, but they have a lot of needs as I was told, so they’re not going to stretch the issue too much and just sell out for a quarterback just yet. We’ll see, it’d have to be the right opportunity.”
