USC and Oregon each have shorter odds of winning the Championship. And while the Beavers played well in 2022, their odds were much longer than the Huskies. That game will be played in Oregon State however.
Assuming all remained unchanged from last season, we have the Beavers as a -2 to -3 favorite at home versus Washington early on.
Head coach Kalen DeBoer put together the nation's second best defense in Washington. His Huskies had the best passing attack in college football as well.
They won 11 games including the Alamo Bowl, third best season in school history. The Huskies even beat Oregon on the road.
The defense is expected to be even stronger in 2023.
As for the game against the Beavers, Oregon State posted double-digit wins last year for the first time since 2006. The Beavers landed big-name quarterback Clemson transfer DJ Uiagalelei, who is looking to unseat Ben Gulbranson. It's not a bad dilemma to have.
The Beavers defense was expected to be as good as last year, thus making the November 18 game a tough one for Washington.
