Can I Bet on Miami Hurricanes Player Props From Florida Online? Not at Hard Rock Bet

OAKLAND PARK, Fla (Gambling911.com) - Hard Rock Bet is the dominant player in the Sunshine State.  They are the only regulated sportsbook in Florida.

Despite Hard Rock Bet offering college athlete performance prop bets in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan and New Jersey, Florida is excluded from this list.

And while Kalshi and DraftKings have muscled their way into the Florida sports gambling market, they do not offer any player performance prop bets (at least not yet).   This includes with pro sports.

Offshore sportsbooks mostly still offer player prop bets on college games, including the Miami Hurricanes.

Likewise, Daily Fantasy Sports sites offer products that border on player prop bets.  Most products don't target college players however.

And as already noted, Hard Rock Bet doesn't find anything wrong with it.

Neither does FanDuel, which is regulated in more than two dozen US states.

They were offering these sample prop bets on Canes players as they prepared to take on Wake Forest Friday evening:

Florida is hardly alone in prohibiting college player prop bet offerings.

Arizona, Colorado, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Mississippi, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Tennessee, Vermont and Virginia also join that list.

There are also several states where college player props aren't completely prohibited but are restricted, usually because you can't bet props involving athletes from an in-state college. Those include Florida, as well as Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Iowa, Missouri, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Rhode Island, Washington and Wisconsin. Indiana permits college player props but prohibits live/in-game player props.
