What Are the Regular Season Wins Total Odds for the Nebraska Cornhuskers - 2022?

Is this finally the year the Nebraska Cornhuskers break through?  Oddsmakers have them winning 7.5 regular season games in 2022 with the price at -115 on both the OVER and UNDER.

Head coach Scott Frost's contract has been restructured and there has only been one staff upheaval during the offseason.  That mostly occurred as last season was coming to a close.  Frost fired all of his offensive assistants except tight ends coach Sean Beckton with two games remaining.

Scott is a favorite to be canned first among the head coaches in the Big Ten.

After the Week 1 loss to Northwestern in Dublin, Ireland, this becomes an even greater possibility.  The Wildcats was among the teams Nebraska was expected to beat.

What to Know Before You Bet Nebraska Cornhuskers Futures

  • Eight of Nebraska's losses last season were by a single score, and the ninth, against then-No. 6 Ohio State, ended with a 26–17 score.  They still went 3-9 Against The Spread.
  • The Huskers outrushed, outpassed and outscored the opposition.
  • Quarterback Adrian Martinez has departed. Texas transfer Casey Thompson is his likely replacement.
  • Center Cam Jurgens' departure leaves a hole in the center of the line.
  • Key tackles Teddy Prochazka and Turner Corcoran missed spring practice with injuries.
  • There remain questions on both the offense and defense coming into 2022.
  • Indiana and Rutgers replace Ohio State and Michigan State on the schedule and these should be wins for Nebraska.
  • In theory at least, there isn't a game on this schedule that Nebraska can't win.
  • A loss to Northwestern in Ireland in Week 0 has already put a damper on the Huskers 2022 season.
  • There was simply no excuse for Nebraska NOT to win 8 or more games this season coming into this season, but it looks more likely.
