What Are the Regular Season Wins Total Odds for the Illinois Fighting Illini - 2022?

If you are looking to bet futures on the Fighting Illini from the state of Illinois, you'll need a site like BetOnline in which to do so as none of the state-sanctioned books take wagers on in-state schools.  Without the ability to bet at BetOnline, you're in for a very long season.

BetOnline has the Fighting Illini winning just 5 regular season games.  That's the same number they walked away with last season.

The three non-conference games against Wyoming, Virginia, and Chattanooga all appeared to be winnable.  Outside of those, there aren't any obvious wins.

Illinois got off to a solid start to the season with a dominating 38-6 win over Wyoming in Week 1.

Chase Brown scored three touchdowns and rushed for 151 yards and Tommy DeVito completed 27 of 37 passes for 192 yards and two scores in his debut.

Second-year Illinois head coach Bret Bielema felt confident about this year's team.

"Everybody understands the things we're saying but also the things we're not saying," Bielema says. "The expectation level is a lot better in the building."

Former UTSA offensive coordinator Barry Lunney Jr. takes over and inherited four assistants already in place that he says "are awesome".

Chase Brown is a 1,000-yard rusher and is joined this season by Josh McCray and other capable reserves.

The team had four losses decided by a touchdown or less but the schedule this season features eight bowl teams.

Penn State was replaced by a winable Indiana team.

It's easy to see the Illini hitting the OVER 4.5 regular season wins in 2022.
