Casino Chronicle on Monday pointed out that most gamblers routinely ignore the benefits of a players card.

This could be because most people do not gamble regularly.

As the author notes, a good chunk of those visiting the Vegas casinos are there on vacation with the actual gambling experience really just an afterthought.

Then there are the savvy gamblers and high rollers who want every perk in the book they can get a hold of.

The obvious are point accumulation similar to that derived from hotel stays and frequent flights.

David Jones of the Casino Chronicle writes:

And it doesn’t matter whether a player wins or loses it is the number of comp points they earn that will determine just how much in freebies they are going to get for their gambling action.

The Points Guy likes three in particular.

M Life (MGM), Total Rewards from Caesars and Identity from Cosmopolitan.

In the case of the later, one can use the accumulated points beyond just the casino experience as the Cosmopolitan allows conversion to Marriott hotel points.

The Identity program advertises that it pays more rewards on slots than any of the other major rewards programs in Las Vegas.

M Life encompasses every property under MGM Resorts International’s umbrella, which means the most properties in Vegas.

The program allows two people living at the same address to link accounts and share benefits, earning double the points while gambling at the same casino table.

This program also has tie-ins with Hyatt Hotel.

Room upgrades, Diamond Lounge access and credit toward a “celebration dinner” are some of the benefits offered by Total Rewards.

Gamblers earn 5 points on every dollar spent at Total Rewards resorts and casino.
