The Warriors are back to being the Warriors we've known and loved over the past few years.  Winners of five straight, they will take on a Denver team that has mostly dominated them in recent games.  The Nuggets are 5-1 against Golden State in the last six meetings.  This NBA line opened Denver -4.5 and has quickly moved to -7.5.

Denver has only beaten the Warriors by more than five points in four of the last five wins. But the Nuggets are one of the best NBA teams at home.  They have lost two of their last three at home however.

The Warriors have dropped five of their last six games on the road while keeping most of those relatively close.

Denver leads the Western Conference averaging 55.2 points in the paint.  The Warriors score 7.2 more points per game (117.2) than the Nuggets allow (110.0).

Nikola Jokic leads the Nuggets scoring 16.0.  Jokic is coming in with an Over/Under of 28.5 points for this game.

Jokic finished Friday’s 122-117 win over Brooklyn with 31 points (12-of-17 FGs, 5-of-5 FTs), 11 rebounds, seven assists, two steals, two blocks, and two 3-pointers in 34 minutes.

Klay Thompson has averaged 24.8 points a game during the winning streak and has made 46.3 percent of his 3-point attempts in that stretch.

"I feel like every time I shoot the ball it's a good shot," Thompson said. "They seem to be going in at a higher frequency over the last five or six games, but I'm not going to let anyone tell me after all these years -- I feel like I can make every shot. Any shot, not every shot."

He was listed with an Over/Under of 20.5 points scored for Monday's game.

Sixers? Knicks? Who Can Challenge Boston in the East this Season?

As the new NBA season gets underway, there is most certainly a sense that the Boston Celtics are the team to beat once again. The 18-time champions really took an “if it’s not broken, don’t try to fix it” policy in the offseason, and it’s hard to argue with the tactic.
