Texas Tech odds move

Brendan Sorsby is a big story on and off the field.

Sorsby was reportedly the highest paid transfer in CFB at $5 million after a tremendous season at Cincinnati with 27 passing touchdowns and only five interceptions. He also had 100 rushes for 5.8 yards per carry and nine rushing touchdowns.

The NCAA has denied Texas Tech quarterback Brendan Sorsby’s request for reinstatement this season, according to a Tuesday report from Pete Thamel of ESPN.

Sorsby was previously ruled permanently ineligible by the NCAA following investigations of his gambling activity, which included him betting on Indiana football games while a member of the Hoosiers’ program in 2022.

Texas Tech president Lawrence Schovanec sent a letter Tuesday sharing the school’s intention to appeal the NCAA’s decision, citing the classification of gambling addiction as a “clinically recognized behavioral disorder.”

Texas Tech has deep pockets and this was the guy they wanted. And his absence due to sports gambling affected the odds in multiple ways at BetOnline.ag.
