Wimbledon 2011 Odds – Live Betting

William Hill had all your Wimbledon 2011 odds and live betting coming into Monday’s tennis matchups.  Richard Gasquet v Santiago Giraldo was the most popular bet at William hill with Gasquet getting the most action at 1/6 odds. 

Rafael Nadal v Michael Russell was also getting heavy attention from punters betting the 2011 Wimbledon.  In addition to odds of 1/100 on Nadal and 16/1 on Russell, there was also betting on sets, the number of sets, scoring (i.e. Nadal 3-2 would pay 20/1 odds), and 1^st and 2^nd set scorecasts. 

Gael Monfils at 1/16 odds for the Wimbeldon 2011 and Andy Murray at 1/100 odds were also seeing significant action. 

Will Hill’s David Thompson noted that, while Nadal may not be in the form that he showed at this stage last year, the big tournaments bring out the best in Rafa.

“5/2 may seem a short price but for me there is no doubt that he is going to be there or there abouts to defend his title, especially after his win at the French over pre-tournament favourite Federer.

“The British Fans are sure to be out in force on Murray mount. Andy 7/1 lost out to Nadal in the semis last year but after picking up the title at the AGEON Championship at Queens against  Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in his warm up event for Wimbledon, the Scot looks in good form and hopefully he has peaked at the right time.

“Looking at the tournament draw, it is hard to see any other outcome than the big four making it to thesemi-finals13/5.  If there is to be an upset my money would be on either Tsonga 33/1, Soderling 50/1 or Berdych 50/1 to cause a surprise.”
