About The Players Championship
THE PLAYERS Championship is golf’s so-called “fifth major” as it attracts most of the top players in the world every year. The event takes place at the TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida in the month of May. The event is known for the famous 17th hole which has golfers hitting to an island green. The 2017 event takes place from May 11th through May 14th with Jason Day the defending champion.
