UFC 189 Odds - McGregor vs Mendes Betting Picks

Gambling911.com has your UFC 189 odds for McGregor vs. Mendes along with betting picks from BetDSI.com.

Robbie Lawler vs. Rory McDonald – Welterweight

Lawler (25-10, 1 NC) is making his first title defense since beating Johny Hendricks for the belt in December in their rematch, marking his third win in a row since losing to Hendricks for the vacant belt in March of last year. McDonald (18-2) has won three straight since losing to Lawler in November 2013, and he is more well-rounded than Lawler, but the champ is more powerful. The first match was very close, but McDonald is more mature now and a little tougher.

Pick: Rory McDonald

Dennis Bermudez vs. Jeremy Stephens – Featherweight

Bermudez (14-4) was tapped out by Ricardo Lamas in November, halting a seven-fight win streak. Stephens (23-11) has lost two in a row and really needs a win to stay afloat in not only the division, but the UFC as a whole. Look for Bermudez to use his wrestling to control Stephens, who is not that great on the ground, but he does have a ton of KO power.

Pick: Dennis Bermudez

Gunnar Nelson vs. John Hathaway – Welterweight

Nelson (13-1-1) lost for the first time as a pro to Rick Story in October, while Hathaway (17-2) lost by KO to Dong Hyun Kim in March of last year. Hathaway will want to keep this fight standing up because Nelson is a beast on the mat with a black belt in BJJ, but he can handle his own striking with a black belt in karate.

Pick: Gunnar Nelson

Thomas Almeida vs. Brad Pickett - Bantamweight

Almeida (19-0) is 2-0 in the UFC and he will have his eye on a top-ten opponent with a win, but Pickett (24-10) is a tough customer who will not go away easily. The 135-pound division is not loaded by any means, so Almeida can move up quickly with a couple of wins, which continues here.

Pick: Thomas Almeida

Jon Rahm Surges at PGA Championship

Jon Rahm was going for his third major win at the 107th PGA Championship at Quail Hollow Club in Charlotte, North Carolina. He played great, proving he’s ready to be a top golfer again. After some ups and downs since joining LIV Golf in late 2023, Rahm shot an impressive 4-under 67 in the third round on Saturday. This strong round put him tied for fifth place, just five shots behind the leader, Scottie Scheffler.
