UFC 124 Betting

Don’t look now but BetDSI.com will be offering live betting on this upcoming Saturday’s UFC 124 card.

Odds will be available both on the website and direct from your Iphone, Android and Blackberry smart phones.  So whether you are in a bar, at the event, or stuck in line waiting to use the john, BetDSI has you covered for all your MMA wagering needs.

George St. Pierre is among the biggest headliners on the UFC 124 card but listed with a steep price tag of -445.

GSP is arguably one of the best pound-for-pound fighters in the sport, writes Andrew Plante of ESPN.com.

Why he might win, According to Plante:

GSP might have simply looked past the perennial UFC heel Koscheck, who he defeated over three years ago at UFC 74. A much-rumored superfight against Anderson Silva could easily distract GSP from the upcoming scrap. But Koscheck’s grating personality and in-your-face communication style with the current welterweight champ during the taping of TUF 12 has likely gotten the French Canadian’s attention. GSP, not know for showing emotions, could have extra motivation to stick it to Kos.

Additionally, he suggests that one of George St. Pierre’s biggest weaknesses has always been his striking.  What better way to improve on that than bring on board boxing trainer extraordinaire Freddy Roach?

“Roger Gracie came in and helped me a lot," St. Pierre said. “Roger finishes his opponent when he takes the guy's back. I've been working on that, so if I get the opportunity to finish, I will be able to finish him a lot better this time. I've been putting a lot of energy on punching power and the finish.”

UFC 124 features a few big high priced favorites that make betting the underdog an enticing option.  Thiago Alves comes in with a price tag of -300 while Joe Stevenson was listed at -300.
