UFC 110 Betting Odds

UFC 110 betting odds featured two very close matchups where the line was even or near even. Cain Velasquez vs. Minotauro Nogueira had even odds. Wanderlei Silva was a -160 favorite vs. Michael Bisping at +130.

The UFC goes "down under" for the first time as UFC 110 betting takes place from Australia on Saturday.  Headlining the card is a battle between Antonio Rodrigo "Minotauro" Nogueira and Cain Velasquez with the winner moving into prime contender status in the heavyweight division.  Nogueira is 32-5-1 in his career and 3-1 in the UFC.  His last fight was a unanimous decision over Randy Couture at UFC 102 in August. Velasquez is now 7-0 in his career and 5-0 in the UFC. His last victory was a destruction of Ben Rothwell at UFC 104. "I expect a war," Velasquez said, "In all my fights I expect a war, but I don't like to lose and I know that to beat me you'll have to kill me and to beat him you have to kill him. So that is what we are going to do to each other." The UFC odds on this bout at SBG Global are a pick.

The experience edge in the fight goes to Nogueira but the talent edge probably goes to Velasquez. "He's a good guy, he's in shape, he pushes the fight and he's hungry," Nogueira said about Velasquez, "But I have much more experience than him, and that's my advantage. When we get into the cage, he'll see."

Another key fight on the card has Wanderlei Silva against Michael Bisping.  Silva is 32-10-1 in his career but a very poor 2-5 in the UFC.  He has done nothing lately and could be on his way out if he doesn't look good in this fight.  Bisping is 19-2 in his career and 8-2 in the UFC.  He last won against Denis Kang in UFC 105.

Also on the main card it is Keith Jardine facing Ryan Bader.  Jardine is 14-7-1 in his career while Bader is unbeaten at 11-0.  Bader is a -155 favorite in this bout.

Joe Stevenson is a -270 favorite against George Sotiropoulos. Stevenson is 36-10 overall and 8-4 in the UFC. Sotiropoulos is 11-2 in his career and 4-0 in the UFC betting.

Ben Rothwell had to pull out of his bout against Mirko Filipovic due to a virus so it will now be Sydney, Australian fighter Anthony Perosh taking on Filipovic.  This fight is still on the main card. Perosh is 10-5 in his career and 0-2 in the UFC. Filipovic is 25-7 overall and 2-3 in the UFC.

Stephan Bonnar makes his return to the UFC on the undercard.  He is 14-6 overall and 5-5 in the UFC.  He is best remembered for winning the first season of the Ultimate Fighter.  He goes up against Krzysztof Soszynski who is 19-10-1 in his career and 3-1 in the UFC.  Other fights on the preliminary card have Chris Lytle facing Brian Foster, CB Dollaway vs. Goran Reljic and James Te Huna vs. Igor Pokrajac.  The fight between Elvis Sinosic and Chris Haseman was cancelled due to a shoulder injury suffered by Sinosic.
