Tiger Woods withdrew from the Players Championship with an injury believed to be a bulging disk in his upper back or a pinched nerve.

"I've been playing with a bad neck for about a month," Woods said.

He said he first felt the injury before the Masters and plans to have an MRI next week.

Woods said he does not know what caused the injury, only that "playing doesn't help it."

Woods remains in danger of losing his number one ranking should Phil Mickelson perform well on Sunday.

Odds on Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson's number of Major wins in 2010 were available at Sportsbetting.com (see website here).  Note:  Odds will be updated after the Players Tournament has concluded.
