This Stanley Cup Finals Game 3 betting preview for the Chicago Blackhawks at Philadelphia Flyers is courtesy of SBG Global.  The game goes off Wednesday, 8:05 pm Eastern - on Versus.

The Philadelphia Flyers will have their backs against the wall on Wednesday night as they host the Chicago Blackhawks in Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Finals.  Rarely does a team come back to win after losing the first two games of a series.  Teams that have won the first two games of the Stanley Cup Finals have gone on to win 31 out of 33 times.  That doesn't mean the Flyers are done, but history is not on their side.  They definitely need a win on Wednesday to have any chance in this series.

Philadelphia is a -130 favorite with a total of 5.5 at SBG Global.

Chicago has proven they can beat the Flyers whether it is with scoring or with defense. They won Game 1 by a score of 6-5 and came back and won Game 2 by a score of 2-1.  The Blackhawks are so deep in scoring that top forwards Jonathan Toews and Patrick Kane have not even scored a goal in the series and the Blackhawks are still up two games to none.  Ben Eager scored the game winner for the Blackhawks in Game 2. Marian Hossa also scored for Chicago in the win.  Chicago got excellent goaltending from Antti Niemi and they head to Philadelphia with a 2-0 series lead.

Chicago has been an excellent team on the road in the playoffs so Philadelphia has their work cut out for them.  The Flyers did a lot of things right in Game 2 and still lost. Goaltender Michael Leighton played very well but the Flyers didn't get enough offense to win. Philadelphia really didn't play with enough passion until the third period when they outshot Chicago 15-4.  Many of the Philadelphia players admitted as much after the game.

During the regular season the Flyers were much better at home than they were on the road.  If they can find a way to get a win on Wednesday night they can turn the Stanley Cup Finals into a series.  If not, the Blackhawks can start getting ready to celebrate.

Philadelphia has won nine of the last ten home games against Chicago including a 3-2 win earlier this season.  Seven of those ten games went under the total.
