......The New Orleans Hornets will look to win their third straight game on Friday night as they host the Golden State Warriors.  The Hornets have kept their head above water without starters David West and Tyson Chandler.  Players off the bench were very important in Wednesday's 94-81 win over Denver.  Peja Stojakovic matched his season high with 26 points while Devin Brown added 18 points.  Chris Paul had 12 points and 10 assists but had an off shooting night going 3 for 12 while top reserve James Posey went 1 for 13. "Sometimes there's nights like that and we had to do other things,'' Posey said, "That's one thing about this team, the opportunity right now for guys to come in and contribute, that's what guys did tonight and that's what we're going to need until we get David and Tyson back.''
SBG Global reports that early NBA betting has the public taking Hornets at Home.

The Warriors are coming off a poor effort on Wednesday when they were routed by Dallas 117-93.  Golden State is the worst defensive team in the NBA and it showed on Wednesday.  The Warriors are second in the NBA in scoring but they didn't hit much of anything against Dallas.  Stephen Jackson had 25 points while Corey Maggette added 21 off the bench. "We've just got to take this loss in stride and tomorrow have a good day in practice and be ready for New Orleans." Maggette said, "We've just got to be better and tomorrow come back with a better effort."

Here are the NBA betting stats for Friday's game. The Warriors are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 Friday games. The Warriors are 15-36 ATS in their last 51 vs. the Western Conference. The Warriors are 7-19-1 ATS in their last 27 road games. The Warriors are 0-6 ATS in their last 6 vs. the Southwest.

Iowa State: Are They The Underdogs To Look For In March Madness?

They may be defined as “underdogs” or “Cinderella teams”, a term that is usually saved for teams that have little to no chance of winning even a single game during the NCAA Tournament. Teams like Loyola Marymount (1990), George Mason (2006), Davidson (2008), VCU (2011), UConn (2014), and Loyola Chicago (2018) come to mind when conversations turn toward the most surprising tournament runs in recent memory.
