Today's free NBA pick from Gambling911.com for Wednesday February 4, 2009 is Denver as the -1 ½ favorite going into Oklahoma City.  Using the money line in all games versus poor defensive teams that allow 99 or more points we find that the Nuggets are 15-2 so far this season.  We won't use the money line, instead we'll play it safe with the -1 ½ spread found at SBG Global

Additionally, Gambling911.com has another NBA betting preview for you from SBG.

The Dallas Mavericks will look to stop the red-hot Portland Trail Blazers as the two teams meet in Dallas on Wednesday. The Blazers have won five straight but to make it six in a row they will have to win in Dallas and that hasn't happened in more than six years.  The Blazers have lost their last 10 games in Dallas and 16 of their last 18.  They have lost the last four games in Big D by an average of 17 points per game. "We want to go into Dallas and win," Portland head coach Nate McMillan said, "We haven't won there in a long time. You want to continue to build off your last game."
SBG Global reports that early NBA betting has the public taking Mavericks at Home.

The Blazers came back on Monday night from 20 points down against New Orleans to win 97-89.  The Blazers got a little help as the Hornets lost Chris Paul in that game due to injury but Portland scored 38 points in the fourth quarter so it was not just Paul leaving the game. "We never gave up," McMillan said, "Chris goes out of the game and our guys get some confidence and we score buckets and defensively we rattled them a little bit."

Dallas has won three straight and six of eight overall.  They have also won 14 of their last 17 home games. "We've had stretches where we've lost a few, but right now our guys are finding ways to help each other," coach Rick Carlisle said. "They're finding reasons to play harder even when the shots aren't going in. That's a winning formula."  Dallas took out Orlando on the road on Monday 105-95. "This was a great win," said Carlisle, "I am proud of this team and how it battled tonight. I have seen more energy out of this team in the last week than I have all year. I hope we can keep this momentum." Dirk Nowitzki has 59 points in the Mavericks last two wins over Miami and Orlando.  He scored 30 points earlier this year in a 102-94 win by the Mavericks at Portland.

Here are the NBA betting stats for Wednesday's game. The Trail Blazers are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games overall. The Trail Blazers are 8-2 ATS in their last 10 vs. the Southwest.
