Gambling911.com presents its free NBA pick for Tuesday February 3, 2009 along with a sports betting preview from our friends at SBG Global

Gambling911.com is all over the Boston Celtics as a +2 ½ underdog at SBG Global.

Why Boston?

Against the spread in Road games vs. division opponents the Boston Celtics record is 18  Wins and 2  Losses  for the last three seasons.

That is pretty convincing!

Boston has also won 5 of the last 6 against Philly.

The Boston Celtics will go for their 12th straight win on Tuesday but they will have to get it without Kevin Garnett who is expected to miss his second straight game due to illness. "He's sick. He's really bad. His fever's really high," Head coach Doc Rivers said about Garnett, "He's probably not playing Tuesday. For him to be out of any game, especially today, he's got to be pretty sick."
SBG Global reports that early NBA betting has the public taking Celtics on the Road.

The Celtics defeated Minnesota on Sunday by a score of 109-101 without Garnett as Paul Pierce scored 36 points. "He had to, without KG in the game," said Rivers, "He can almost sense when we need a bucket or when he needs to take over games. Clearly, you have to have the ability to do that. I think a lot of guys think that; very few can do it. And Paul does a great job."

Philadelphia is coming off an 85-83 loss to New Jersey on Saturday in a game they should have won. They went 2 for 22 in the fourth quarter and let the Nets steal the win. "We went through a dry spell. We just could not score," said Sixers coach Tony DiLeo, "It's difficult right now, but we just have to regroup, rebuild and try to get our next game on Tuesday, against a good opponent."

Boston has won five of the last six games against Philadelphia including both games this season.  Neither of those two games was close as the Celtics won by an average of 21.5 points per game.

Here are the NBA bettingg stats for Tuesday's game. The Celtics are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 road games. The Celtics are 8-1 ATS in their last 9 games overall. The Celtics are 39-16-2 ATS in their last 57 vs. the Atlantic. The Celtics are 6-0-1 ATS in the last 7 meetings in Philadelphia. The favorite is 4-1 ATS in the last 5 meetings between the two teams and the road team is 7-3-1 ATS in the last 11 meetings.

The 76ers are 1-4-1 ATS in their last 6 games overall. The 76ers are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 vs. the Atlantic.

SBG Global Current Line: Celtics  -  2  ,  Total  189

The Under is 5-2 in the 76ers last 7 overall. The Under is 19-8-1 in the 76ers last 28 home games. The Under is 9-4 in the 76ers last 13 vs. the Atlantic.

Iowa State: Are They The Underdogs To Look For In March Madness?

They may be defined as “underdogs” or “Cinderella teams”, a term that is usually saved for teams that have little to no chance of winning even a single game during the NCAA Tournament. Teams like Loyola Marymount (1990), George Mason (2006), Davidson (2008), VCU (2011), UConn (2014), and Loyola Chicago (2018) come to mind when conversations turn toward the most surprising tournament runs in recent memory.
