“You never met a bigger trash talker who could back it up better since Muhammad Ali,” Trigg said of Chael Sonnen, who he was backing to beat the heavily favored Anderson Silva at +235 odds. “IF Chael wins this fight, it will probably be one of the biggest upsets we have seen in recent UFC history.
“I think Chael is going to be able to push the pace. The only way Anderson is going to be able to beat him is by knocking him out on the way in. There is no better competitor with Mixed Martial Arts wrestling (than Sonnen).”
Oddsmaker Nick Kalikas suggested betting Chael by Decision. Trigg also felt this would be a “safe” bet since he sees Sonnen winning Rounds 3, 4 and 5 by Decision.
