The Second Round of the NHL Playoffs is officially underway which started with a shutout by the Hurricanes and the Colorado Rockies beating the Minnesota Twins 9-6.

Oh wait, I’m being told that was a hockey game between the Avalanche and the Wild. What a crazy start to the series.

That ties the most goals in a game this year with Buffalo beating Tampa Bay 8-7 on 3/8/26.

Below are the Second Round series odds courtesy of BetOnline.ag.

Series odds are subject to change.

2nd Round Series Odds

Philadelphia Flyers +560

Carolina Hurricanes -800

Note: Series line opened Canes -315 and Flyers +255. Current odds imply an 88.9% probability that the Hurricanes win the series.

Montreal Canadiens +100

Buffalo Sabres -120

Note: Series line opened Sabres -115 and Canadiens -105. Current odds imply a 54.6% probability that the Sabers win the series.

Minnesota Wild +330

Colorado Avalanche -420

Note: Series line opened Avs -225 and Wild +190. Current odds imply an 80.9% probability of the Avs winning the series.

Anaheim Ducks +175

Vegas Golden Knights -200

Note: Series line opened VGK -185 and Ducks +160. Current odds imply a 66.7% probability of VGK winning the series.

Also, here’s the line for real-time Stanley Cup and Conference odds: https://www.betonline.ag/sportsbook/futures-and-props/nhl-futures.

One thing I found really interesting is that despite Buffalo being favored in the series against Montreal, the Canadiens have shorter odds to win the Conference and the Stanley Cup.
