Scottie Scheffler’s odds to win this year's went from +650 to +450 since arriving at Valhalla Golf Club following what many see as an "unnecessary" arrest, according to FanDuel.

These odds were updated by BetOnline just prior to Friday's round of play:

Schauffele +225
Free Scottie +400
McIlroy +450
Koepka +1200
Morikawa +1400
Theegala +2000
Finau +2500
DeChambeau +3300
Homa +3500
Hovland +4000

Scheffler sat within the top 15 of the PGA Championship leaderboard heading into the early afternoon.

The current World's No. 1 golfer was arrested Friday morning on his way to the PGA Championship.  Shocking images show him handcuffed and taken to jail for not following police orders after a pedestrian fatality investigation.  Police say an unidentified individual had been struck by a bus on the only road that leads to Valhalla in the morning darkness with light rain.  Traffic was backed up for approximately a mile.

The story was unraveling even further by late morning.  According to the police report, the officer who tried to stop Scottie Scheffler has been "transported to the hospital," and his pants were "damaged beyond repair."

The winner in all of this might very well be Kansas Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker, who came under fire this week for pretty much suggesting that women belong in pregnant and in the kitchen.

As for how things were actually going for gamblers at the PGA Championship this second round, Xander Schauffele headed into Round 2 with the lead and a clear path to the first major title of his career.  He was still being offered with payout odds of +225 for a payout of $225 on every $100 bet.
