Gambling911.com has your Players Championship 2017 odds to win ahead of Round One. Remember you can bet LIVE IN-PLAY and all the latest futures in between each day’s play.
Odds were also available on which golfer will finish among the top five.
Dustin Johnson was the odds-on favorite to win this year’s Players Championship but would pay out a very generous $71 for every $10 bet or $710 for every $100 bet.
Johnson was quoted as saying there is no reason why he can’t win The Players Championship 2017 after winning the US Open just 12 months ago.
“I believe so,” Johnson said. “I haven’t had a lot of success around here, so it’s definitely a challenge for me. But I feel like if I’m going to play well here, this is the time that I will play well.
“Everything throughout my whole game is in really good form right now and I feel like I’m starting to play this course better. But it doesn’t bother me, no. I try not to let things bother me. I think I do a pretty good job of it.”
Rory McIlroy had the second shortest odds at 10-1, Jordan Spieth was at 14-1, Jason Day (last year’s Players Championship winner) was at 25-1 odds.
No player has ever won back-to-back at The Players Championship.
"But I'm trying to focus on getting back to that winning form, the practice workload I was doing (as No.1) and hopefully the results will come after that,” Day said against Day One of the Players Championship.
Day admits to having been distracted over the past year due to his mother’s battle with cancer.
Sergio Garcia had been listed with longer odds than Day but was coming in at 18-1 ahead of Thursday.
Jon Rahm at 21-1 odds had also seen an improvement in his price, a result of some early volume from the betting public.
