Eastern Conference Finals Game 4
Orlando Magic at Boston Celtics
Monday, 8:35 pm Eastern - ESPN

The Boston Celtics will try and eliminate the Orlando Magic on Monday night as they play Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals. The Celtics have dominated the Magic in the first three games of the series and with a win on Monday; the Celtics will head to the NBA Finals betting for the second time in three years.

Boston is a 7 point favorite with a total of 188 at SBG Global.

The Magic were so poor in Game 3 against the Celtics on Saturday that most people believe they quit. It is somewhat surprising to see the Celtics beating the Magic but the way they are doing it is shocking. Orlando was supposed to win this series, yet they are down three games to none. Some people have referred to the Magic as soft.

History is not on the side of Orlando as no NBA betting team has ever gone down 0-3 in a series and come back to win. Orlando head coach Stan Van Gundy admitted that he didn't have his team prepared for Game 3 and getting the team ready after the beat down they suffered on Saturday night won't be easy. The Magic showed that when things get tough, they quit. Van Gundy said he was very surprised with the lack of effort his team showed in Game 3. The oddsmakers don't give them much of a chance as they are 7-point underdogs. That is up substantially from Game 3 when they were just three point dogs.

The Magic do have some positive trends in their favor but after what has happened so far in this series it may not matter. The Magic are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 Monday games. The Magic are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 road games. Orlando has not been a good road underdog of late though as they are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games as a road underdog.

The Celtics are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 Conference Finals games. Boston suddenly has been very good at home as they are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 home games. The Celtics are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games as a favorite.

The Celtics are 3-9 ATS in their last 12 Monday games. It could be another low scoring game as the Under is 5-0 in the last 5 meetings in Boston between the two teams.

Iowa State: Are They The Underdogs To Look For In March Madness?

They may be defined as “underdogs” or “Cinderella teams”, a term that is usually saved for teams that have little to no chance of winning even a single game during the NCAA Tournament. Teams like Loyola Marymount (1990), George Mason (2006), Davidson (2008), VCU (2011), UConn (2014), and Loyola Chicago (2018) come to mind when conversations turn toward the most surprising tournament runs in recent memory.
