Odds to Win The 2009 US Open

Odds to win the 2009 US Open Golf Tournament have been posted and, to nobody's surprise, Tiger Woods has been made the favorite.  He would pay even odds early.  These odds were courtesy of Super Book, part of the powerful Sportsbook.com family of fine online getting sites.

"The US Open is a heavily bet on event and one that provides the chance for a huge payout with a nominal risk," said Payton O'Brien, Senior Editor of the Gambling911.com website.  "Trevor Immelman would pay a whopping $10,000 for every $100 bet as an example."

Still, Tiger Woods will probably get about half the betting action and his odds will likely shorten further as we get closer to June 18, the start of the 2009 US Open.

Iowa State: Are They The Underdogs To Look For In March Madness?

They may be defined as “underdogs” or “Cinderella teams”, a term that is usually saved for teams that have little to no chance of winning even a single game during the NCAA Tournament. Teams like Loyola Marymount (1990), George Mason (2006), Davidson (2008), VCU (2011), UConn (2014), and Loyola Chicago (2018) come to mind when conversations turn toward the most surprising tournament runs in recent memory.
