The San Jose Sharks are battling with the Detroit Red Wings for the top spot in the Western Conference and they are also battling the Boston Bruins for the President's Trophy.  If the Sharks are to finish with the best overall record in the NHL they will have to play better on the road than they have recently.  San Jose has lost their last three on the road and they are 4-7-3 in their last 14 road games.  San Jose plays four of their last seven games on the road. SBG Global reports that early Hockey betting has the public taking  Sharks on the Road.

"I really don't think right now this group is focused on staying in front of Detroit," Sharks coach Todd McLellan said. "We can't play these last seven games with Detroit in the back of our mind. We are a better team when we are focused on what we're doing."  San Jose could be shorthanded on Monday as Patrick Marleau is questionable.  Marleau is leading the team in goals scored this season with 37.  Marleau is not the only player hurt for San Jose.  The Sharks were missing Jonathan Cheechoo, Rob Blake, Ryan Clowe and Marcel Goc on Saturday. "Everyone is going to have to contribute," said center Tom Cavanagh, "We have a lot of injuries so we need all four lines to go out there and create some energy. That's what this team needs."

The Sharks have had very little success at Calgary recently, going 2-8 in their last 10 games. Calgary is 25-9-4 at home this season.  Goaltender Miikka Kiprusoff is 6-2-0 with a 2.63 goals-against average in his last eight home games against San Jose.

Here are the Hockey betting stats for Monday's game. The Sharks are 21-6 in their last 27 Monday games. The Sharks are 5-2 in their last 7 vs. the Northwest.

The Sharks are 1-4 in their last 5 road games. The Sharks are 1-4 in the last 5 meetings in Calgary.

The Flames are 16-6 in their last 22 home games. The home team is 5-1 in the last 6 meetings between the two teams.

SBG Global Current Line: Flames - 135  ,  Total  5.5 Over - 120

The Under is 13-5 in the Sharks last 18 overall. The Under is 7-3 in the Sharks last 10 road games.

The Under is 5-1 in the Flames last 6 vs. the Pacific. The Under is 5-1 in the Flames last 6 overall. The Over is 4-1-2 in the last 7 meetings in Calgary between the two teams.
