Jets vs. Patriots

This is one of the most anticipated games of the week as two 6-3 teams vie for the top spot in the AFC East.  New England Patriots vs. New York Jets NFL betting odds opened at -4 in favor of New England and have since drifted down to -3 with a few -3 ½ lines still available.

"New England's still-solid defense held Bills quarterback Trent Edwards to a 13-for-23 passing day for just 120 yards while picking him off twice and sacking him the same number of times," BetUS.com analyst, Eric Williams, points out.

"The jets totally obliterated the overmatched St. Louis Rams, winning 47-3 at home to easily cover the spread for BetUS Sportsbook bettors as 3-point home favorites.  (check out BetUS.com here for top cash bonuses)

"While Hall of Fame-bound quarterback Brett Favre completed just 14 of 19 passes for 167 yards and one touchdown, veteran running back Thomas Jones torched the Rams by rushing for 149 yards and three touchdowns on 26 carries.

"New York held St. Louis to just 120 passing yards and 80 rushing yards on the day while forcing a whopping five turnovers on the day."

Oh we here at Gambling911.com love our Jets but this series is owned by the New England Patriots, who have won 9 of the last 10 against New York (they are actually 11-1).  The Patriots typically win by a wide margin in this series.

One of the scarier stats going against the Jets is that they are 1-7 ATS in their last 8 games after scoring more than 30 points in their previous game.

The Patriots are 35-16-1 ATS in their last 52 vs. AFC East but are also 1-6 ATS in their last 7 games following a ATS win and 2-9 ATS in their last 11 games following a S.U. win.

We just can't pass this one up despite the Jets solid improvement.  New England -3 is our pick on this game.

Iowa State: Are They The Underdogs To Look For In March Madness?

They may be defined as “underdogs” or “Cinderella teams”, a term that is usually saved for teams that have little to no chance of winning even a single game during the NCAA Tournament. Teams like Loyola Marymount (1990), George Mason (2006), Davidson (2008), VCU (2011), UConn (2014), and Loyola Chicago (2018) come to mind when conversations turn toward the most surprising tournament runs in recent memory.
