Don't look now but the Miami Heat are really starting to heat up (forgive the pun).   They've won three in a row and 7 of their last 10 games.  Today they face a Chicago Bulls team that is hovering around .500.

The SBG Global Opening Line: Heat  -  5  ,  Total  199.5

The game between the Chicago Bulls and Miami Heat on Friday holds a little bit of intrigue as last year's top two NBA draft picks, Derrick Rose and Michael Beasley meet for the first time.  "I can't do anything but treat it like another game," Rose said. "We need a win too badly, especially on the road, for me to think about anything else."  While Rose hasn't thought much about the meeting, Beasley has. "Me and Derrick Rose, that's irrelevant," Beasley said. "It's me and Chicago, Miami and Chicago. I've been thinking about this game for a long time, just because they didn't pick me. It's nothing against them. It's natural." SBG Global reports that early NBA betting has the public taking Heat at Home.

Rose leads all rookies in assists with 6.1 per game and is second in scoring among rookies at 17.5 points per game. Beasley is fourth among rookies in scoring at 13.3 points per game and seventh in rebounding at 4.8 per game.

"Michael will continue to get his opportunity. He is in the rotation," Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said. "It's not just a steady incline with young guys. You have to live with the ups and the downs."

Chicago has lost five straight road games and is a pathetic 3-12 overall on the road. "I have no idea why we keep going down early (in games)," said Rose, "I guess that we just need to look at more tape and see what is happening. Coach talks about it every day in practice but we just need to figure it out."

Miami has won three straight games led by Dwyane Wade who is leading the league in scoring at 29 points per game. He's averaged 36.7 points per game during the Heat's winning streak.

Chicago is 6-2 in the last eight meetings against Miami.  Here are more NBA betting stats for Friday's game. The Bulls are 2-6 ATS in their last 8 vs. the Eastern Conference.
