The NBA All-Star betting game takes place on Sunday night from the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. The Western Conference is the home team for the eighth straight year and their top player is hometown favorite Kobe Bryant of the Los Angeles Lakers.  The Eastern Conference is led by the Miami duo of LeBron James and Dwyane Wade.

Check out the current line for this game at SBG Global.

The Western Conference also has the league’s leading scorer in Oklahoma City’s Kevin Durant and Denver’s Carmelo Anthony who has been in the news nearly every day in trade rumors.  The Eastern Conference is loaded with talent including Chicago’s Derrick Rose who has been playing at an MVP level in recent weeks.

The Eastern Conference came away with a two-point win last year and they lead the all-time series 36–23.  Last year the two teams combined for 280 points as the NBA betting game went over the total.  Two years ago the teams combined for 265 points. Last year it was Dwyane Wade winning the MVP award while LeBron James and Kobe Bryant alternated winning the MVP award from 2006 through 2009. Kobe may have the edge this year since the game is in Los Angeles and 14 times in All-Star game history a player from the home city has won the award.

Last year there were four players who had double-doubles including Wade who had 28 points and 11 assists. This year’s group of All-Stars combined scoring average is 20.7 points and 7.4 assists per basketball betting game. If you look at the entire rosters, the West All-Stars have a high scoring average but the East All Stars shoot better.

Here are this year’s All-Star Rosters:
