Lightning vs. Red Wings Betting Line – Playoffs Game 4

BetDSI.com has your Lightning vs. Red Wings betting line for Game 4 of the NHL Playoffs.

Tampa Bay Lightning Gaining Confidence

The Tampa Bay Lightning were beaten in Game 1 of this series losing a tough 3-2 decision but they bounce back in a big way to win Game 2 by a score of 5-1. Tyler Johnson scored two goals and Tampa Bay showed why they are a serious Stanley Cup contender. "We played physical, we played hard, and finally the hard work paid off," Lightning captain Steven Stamkos said. The Lightning thought they should have taken Game 1 and they believe they can do well in Detroit. "Obviously, it's going to be a little tougher in Detroit, but we're looking forward to it.” goaltender Ben Bishop said, “It should be fun."

Detroit Red Wings No Guarantee at Home

The Detroit Red Wings were nothing special at home this season as they went just 22-19. They will need to get a big effort in goal from either Petr Mrzaek or Jimmy Howard if they are to slow down Tampa in Game 4. Mrazek was great with 44 saves in the opener, but he stopped just 14 of 18 shots in two periods in Game 2. "I think Pete played pretty good. We gave up some slam dunks to them," head coach Mike Babcock said. "You've got to give your goalie a chance. You can't make those defensive mistakes and then think your goalie's going to make those saves. If you give him a chance to battle, he'll battle."

They may be defined as “underdogs” or “Cinderella teams”, a term that is usually saved for teams that have little to no chance of winning even a single game during the NCAA Tournament. Teams like Loyola Marymount (1990), George Mason (2006), Davidson (2008), VCU (2011), UConn (2014), and Loyola Chicago (2018) come to mind when conversations turn toward the most surprising tournament runs in recent memory.
