Kimbo Slice

Awe inspiring Kimbo Slice was not a favorite to beat Matt Mitrione.  Instead, both were near even favorites with Slice at -110 and Mitrione at -120 at Sportsbetting.com (see website here)

The two fighters meet Saturday night for UFC 113.

"I made sacrifices, I made commitments, it gives the kids something to look forward to," Kimbo said. "You've gotta make sacrifices, commitments, listen to your trainers and you too can follow in those footsteps.  That's what I'm trying to bring out here."

Kimbo is 4-1 inside the cage.   Previously he was a street brawler with a huge following over the Internet.

Mitrione rose to fame as Slice's castmate on The Ultimate Fighter.

"I bet 85 percent of the viewing public thinks I'm a (dirtbag)," Mitrione said on the Countdown to UFC 113 preview show. "I have regrets," he says. "I regret I got so wrapped up playing games and trying to manipulate things. I should've kept my eyes on the prize rather than being lost in the moment."

Slice commented that there was little love between him and his opponent.

"He wasn't the type of guy that I would call a friend or be friends with," Slice said. "I ain't going to his birthday party, he ain't coming to mine. Not actually enemies, weren't friends either."
