In an interview with Boxing Scene.com, Manny Pacquiao's opponent Joshua Clottey has said he would like to fight the winner of the Mosley-Mayweather fight, provided an upset.

A win by Clottey on March 13 would be more than just your average upset.  Pacquiao was listed as the -600 favorite while Clottey would pay a whopping $425 for every $100 bet if he were to somehow win.  Odds were available at Sportsbetting.com (see website here)

"If I win this fight I will be ready and willing to fight anybody," Clottey said.

But things have not been going Clottey's way in recent weeks.  Heavy snows have made it difficult to properly train outside and his trainers have been denied visas to enter the US.

Despite the long odds, The Boxing Bulletin's Michael Nelson believes that Clottey could be a "stylistic challenge" for Pacquiao

"He (Clottey) has strengths that will make him far more competitive than Cotto was against Manny Pacquiao - namely, a tight guard, granite chin, and multi-dimensional attack.

"Clottey will be Pacquiao's first opponent since Marquez comfortable with throwing a right hand in nearly any situation. He can consistently lead with it, like he did against southpaws Zab Judah and Shamone Alvarez. He can accurately counter a charging opponent with it. He can throw concise uppercuts between a guard, or loop shots around a guard with it. Sum it up, and the Filipino star may appear to be less than the defensive wizard he's been for the last two years when matched against Clottey's educated right.

"It's also been a while since Pacquiao has faced an unmovable object, and Clottey is damn close to being one."

Moreover, Nelson points out, we've never seen Clottey cut, scarcely seen him badly bruised, and hardly seen him visibly bothered by a body shot.

It should be noted that Pacquiao, even with that huge -600 line, is one of the top 10 bets weeks before this fight is set to go off.

One must bet $600 to win $100 on Pacquiao and the original $600 bet is only returned should Pacquiao win.
