Here is today's Gambling911.com free pick for the NBA and it is on New Orleans as the -1 ½ favorite at SBG Global.  They've enjoyed some recent success in this series and, using the money line in Home games when playing on back-to-back days, the Hornets are 13-1 over the last three seasons.

The New Orleans Hornets will look to improve their playoff position in the Western Conference as they host one of the top teams in the Eastern Conference on Wednesday night.  The Orlando Magic have one of the best records in the league and have proven they can win on the road.  The Hornets could have a tough time containing Dwight Howard especially without Tyson Chandler who they traded to Oklahoma City on Tuesday. SBG Global reports that early NBA betting has the public taking Hornets at Home.

The Hornets got forward Joe Smith, center Chris Wilcox and the draft rights to center Devon Hardin from the Thunder in exchange for Tyson Chandler.

"We were able to get great depth, leadership and experience by making this trade," said Hornets General Manager Jeff Bower. "We felt we needed to increase our overall play of the frontline and Chris Wilcox is a young, athletic player that can score and fit well in our system. We will be able to take advantage of his athleticism and style of play. Joe provides us with much needed depth and someone who can be an integral part of our rotation."

Orlando and New Orleans split their season series a year ago.  Orlando has won six of the last nine meetings against New Orleans but they are only 3-3 at New Orleans.  Earlier this season the Magic routed the Hornets 88-68 as five Orlando players scored in double figures led by Hedo Turkoglu's 20 points.

Here are the NBA betting stats for Wednesday's game. The Magic are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 Wednesday games. The Magic are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games playing on no rest. The Magic are 23-8 ATS in their last 31 games overall.

The Magic are 25-9-1 ATS in their last 35 games as a road underdog. The Magic are 35-17-1 ATS in their last 53 vs. the Western Conference. The Magic are 4-1 ATS in the last 5 meetings in New Orleans.

The Hornets are 2-6 ATS in their last 8 games overall. The Hornets are 1-4-1 ATS in their last 6 vs. the Southeast. The Hornets are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games playing on no rest.

SBG Global Current Line: Hornets  -  1.5  ,  Total  189

The Under is 4-1 in Orlando's last 5 overall. The Over is 7-3 in Orlando's last 10 road games.

The Over is 4-0 in the Hornets last 4 games as a home favorite. The Under is 7-1 in the Hornets last 8 vs. the Southeast. The Over is 4-1 in the Hornets last 5 home games. The Under is 12-5-1 in the Hornets last 18 vs. the Eastern Conference. The Under is 5-0 in the last 5 meetings in New Orleans between the two teams.

Iowa State: Are They The Underdogs To Look For In March Madness?

They may be defined as “underdogs” or “Cinderella teams”, a term that is usually saved for teams that have little to no chance of winning even a single game during the NCAA Tournament. Teams like Loyola Marymount (1990), George Mason (2006), Davidson (2008), VCU (2011), UConn (2014), and Loyola Chicago (2018) come to mind when conversations turn toward the most surprising tournament runs in recent memory.
