Detroit Pistons vs. Boston Celtics betting odds opened with a line of -7 at SBG Global and that is where the line has remained as of Thursday afternoon.

The Boston Celtics will get Kevin Garnett back in the starting lineup on Thursday as they host the Detroit Pistons.  Garnett served a one-game suspension on Tuesday but the Celtics responded without him to defeat the Knicks 110-101.  Paul Pierce led the way with 22 points and got a lot of help.  Kendrick Perkins had 16 points and eight rebounds while Leon Powe added 14 points and seven rebounds.   Overall the Celtics have won eight of their last nine.  Last year the Celtics won the season series with Detroit 2-1. Thursday's game is a tough turnaround for the Pistons as they hosted LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers last night. SBG Global reports that early NBA betting has the public taking Celtics at Home.

Kevin Garnett led the Celtics with an average of 24 points and 7.7 rebounds in the three games against Detroit last year.  Chauncey Billups led the Pistons with 22.7 points and 7 assists in the three contests last year but he is now in Denver. Detroit is now being led in scoring by Allen Iverson who they got in the trade for Billups.  Detroit has not reached the 90 point mark in three of their last four meetings against Boston.

Here are the NBA betting stats for Thursday's game. The Pistons are 7-2 ATS in their last 9 road games. The Pistons are 13-6 ATS in their last 19 Thursday games. The Pistons are 2-5 ATS in their last 7 vs. the Eastern Conference.
